The Scientia Journal

Review Policies

At The Scientia Journal, peer review is treated as a central part of research quality and integrity. These guidelines apply to reviewers who take part voluntarily in the journal’s double-blind review process. Every manuscript, including invited or commissioned articles, goes through peer review before it can be published.

Double-Blind Peer Review

The Scientia Journal uses a double-blind review process, which means:

  1. Reviewers and authors do not know each other’s identities, so the assessment can remain impartial.
  2. Manuscripts are judged only on scientific merit, originality, and fit with the journal’s scope.

Role of Reviewers

Reviewers give expert advice on whether a manuscript should be revised, accepted, or rejected. Their main duties are to:

  1. Assess scientific strength by examining the methodology, reasoning, statistical analysis, and conclusions.
  2. Provide helpful comments that clearly identify strengths and areas needing improvement.
  3. Check citation coverage by pointing out relevant published work the authors may have missed.
  4. Keep all manuscript content strictly confidential.
  5. Disclose any competing interests before beginning the review.

Final decisions on manuscript acceptance rest with the Editorial Board, which considers the reviewers’ recommendations.

How to Prepare Review Comments

Reviewers should sign in to the e-submission system to download the manuscript and supplementary files. While language and formatting are not the main focus, reviewers should assess scientific accuracy and whether the results have been interpreted logically.

This policy applies to The Scientia Journal under Global Science Publisher.
